{ Looking back }
I decided to post a look back.. bcos realisation hit me quite hardly the past couple of weeks.. 11:00 PM • Sunday, October 31, 2010
When I was younger, I often envy people who had the opportunity to study or live abroad.. and it was only when I was 19 then I realise it could happen to me cos my sister was sent abroad..
And when it was my chance, everything seem so surreal to me.. It wasnt what I expected it to be.. Managing ur own finances was probably 1 of the hardest thing to do while I was there and things were extremely expensive..
Then I thought back about my working life..
I had 3 jobs so far, and I must say I am extremely lucky cos all the 3 companies I have worked with, I met really nice bosses, and colleagues..
And then an impromtu decision landed me in Manchester again.. And this time round, I did my best and got the best results I ever had in my schooling history..
I wasnt the brightest student in school, neither was I hard working.. But the course suited me so well cos most of the results were based on assignments and not exams hah..
Then I thought about my family (you see when u are alone, u tend to think things through hahah)
I was a really naughty little girl.. I cant remember much when I was younger except the fact that I get canned alot.. and I detest it!
Who loves to be canned.. Then I rememebered me and my sister were always up on each other asses.
And then everything stopped.. No more canning, no more fighting with my sister..
All of the sudden, I grew up and out of those "childish" things..
Its weird how time flies and looking back at my life, I think I am really lucky, not only in school but at work and at home too..
I am starting every new from dec onwards, and I hope that everything will be right in more ways than others...
And to my friends: U guys had been great.. I have the most diverse group of friends I think... haha
From people I knew from work, to primary sch mates, sec sch mates, poly mates, work mates blah blah blah
I am glad :))
{ Liverpool International Airport: You must be joking }
Liverpool airport, WHAT A JOKE 10:38 PM • Sunday, October 24, 2010
Apart from the very nice name: John Lennon International Airport, there is nothing else nice inside...
To be honest, the standars is equal to our very own Budget Airport or maybe more budget than the latter..
First, no walkways from the aircraft to and fro: ok nvm, alot of international airports does that
Then: no bus to the aircraft: Best sia, usually if there is no walkway, there is always a bus
Unfortuately, the airport is so small, you walk into the terminal urself upon alighting from the plane..
If you have been to the budget airport you will have something similar in mind..
HOWEVER, the gates of the budget airport is literally at the footstep of the plane, while for this pathetic INTERNATIONAL airport, the plane is packed probably about 200m away from the main terminal
Best thing of all, when u enter the terminal, its the queue to the passport control
Shit or what

Dun get me wrong 7:48 PM • Friday, October 22, 2010
I am still in the middle of my tour..
Last stop Krakow.. The gang went off to a Jewish concentration camp just outside of Krakow leaving me alone exploring the city.
The past 2 weeks had been fun. And just when I thought that I have visited 5 countries so that I can have them strike off my list of places to visit, I am so wrong..
Prague was the only place on my "wishlist" and the rest came cos they are so close to each other..
A little update here
Prague
One of the places with a fantastic night view from any bridge.. Food was relatively cheap, HOWEVER, alot of +++.. So if see judge from the menu, the price u often need to pay is about 20% higher which makes it really expensive.. I spent like 150 pounds there alone!!
Vienna
4 hours train ride and we reached Vienna... The city was normal, alot of historical buildings and if you are not interested to explore museums and such, dun go there alone, you will be bored to death.. Surprisingly, food is relatively cheap and the place looks big on the metro was actually pretty walkable, but of cos, we got out 24hours metro tickets..
Went to a piano concerto which was a small one, but a great experience! Cant wait to watch a whole orchestra performing!
This place also left me a vivid if not I wanna kill myself memory...
See I almost forget my dearest Buddha statue at Prague and karma happened almost immediately. The almost 500 pictures I took of Prague and Vienna were gone, cos of my itchy fingers.. Lucky for me, I wasnt a solo traveller so I had friends who has the pictures.. If not I think I will really need to buy another air tix and go again..
Bratislava
Only 1 word to describe this place, DEAD! This capital city of Slovakia is only 1 hour on the bus from Vienna, and yet a whole contrasting difference. Vienna is crowded, with alot of tourist while Bratislava looks like it didnt change a bit since the 1970s, looking colourless and lifeless...
Though this place was boring, the beer is FUCKING CHEAP!!!. 1 Euro for a pint, bring it on man!!!
and the food is gooooddddd!!!!!
Budapest
I enjoyed the most here! This place is gorgeous beyond description!! Only people who had visited this place knows exactly what I am saying..
The place is separated between Buda and Pest, with Buda being on the higher ground.. The view from Buda is magnificent!!!
Hungarian wine was also #1 on our list! The brand, Tokaji, probably has the best wine I have ever tasted.. The dry white and the sweet white wine are really good, so hopefully Sg has it so that I can introduce the wine to everyone!!!
Something funny happened here as well..
We saw a group of Serbian boys at the Buda castle, and they approached us to take pictures with them (we thought was for them, but they insisted they wanted to be with us)..
Ok so fine, I jokingly told them that we are "superstars" duhhh of cos thats not true..
Then I was alone for a while, and they approached me again, this time wanting to take pictures with me?!?! Seems like these boys havent seen many chinese or even seen any chinese before in their home land.. But anyways, it was quite funny..
Krakow
Sad, this place is SHIT!!! Cos 1, I was ill, 2, people over rated this place..
Things are relatively cheap BUT, the people here ARE SO UNFRIENDLY!! Not just to tourist but to their own people as well.. The city has no smile at all, and I hardly see anyone smiling even in the service industry, which kinda reminded me Sg shitty service....
Ladies and Gents: Pictures will only be uploaded in 2 weeks time when I am back in Sg, till then.. Stay healthy!!
