{ The Third most expensive city in Europe: Zurich }
I fulfilled one of my dreams!!! and that is to visit Switzerland, the land of chocolates, watches and most importantly, Swiss Army Knife. And too bad, I brought the rain there and I brought it BACK TOO!!! DAMN IT!! And as usual, my damn legs are really giving way! 11:15 PM • Monday, March 29, 2010

From Zurich to Schwyz to "Singapore Food Festival, the Student Version"
The trip was like a dream come true.. Who would have thought that I will be able to visit such a beautiful country!!
Everything is super expensive, and when I say its expensive, ITS REALLY EXPENSIVE!
Look at the Macdonalds! It charged me 9.90CHF which is about 13SGD for a bloody nuggets meal!!!!!! OMG, felt like being ripped off!

Other than food, everything else is pretty ok.. I changed 350CHF and left with only a pathetic 20CHF..
The trams are clean and the trains are not noisy unlike their England counterparts... I didnt recall seeing any rubbish on the streets but then people in Zurich are a little like those in London, arrogant and rude..

Had the best hot chocolate EVER, better than Lindt ones in Sydney!! But unfortunately, I was there on the weekend, and sundays is when all shops CLOSES!!! Damn it felt like Frankfurt!

So apart from food, the money I changed was mainly spent on trains and tada!!!! SWISS ARMY KNIFE!!! We went to visit Schwyz, which is the "birthplace" of Switzerland and Swiss Army Knife. So it was really much cheaper as compared to SG!!!

I bought 6 by the way.. 1 for myself (so that whichever idiot decided to rob me, its goodbye to their poor balls!!!! Then one for my sister, father, mother and cousin!

1 is for Canadian Sarah for her birthday as she had hers confiscated by the customs!! So remember to:

At Schwyz we even saw, Ying Liu (which is the plant that we often have during Chinese NEW YEAR!!!!) Cant believe my eyes actually haha. The Apls, which can be seen from Schwyz looks really fake.

Dinner for 3 days were mainly homecooked.. I brought Chay Kway Teow paste, Bak Kut Teh Paste.. and even had a taste of traditional Swiss dining, Horse and Rabbit meat.. and also Raclette (A kind of cheese, melted, then put on top of potatoes and some other preserved cucumbers/onions...)
Horse meat looks like beef, taste I dunno but I managed to cook it medium so it was alright. Rabbit meat is a tougher version of Chicken, and it was really good with curry..
As for my Bak Kut Teh and Chay Kway Teow, of cos nothing can go wrong with paste haha..
Then my friends had this Japanese guy who joined us for dinner.. He made us some green tea cream paste thingi which was unbelieveably GOOD and TIRAMISU!!!!!!!!!!!! Omg, that guy is a genius and he made Tiramisu with the minimal stuff he could find, and it was yummy!!!
Ok here are pictures.. me too lazy to elaborate how beautiful the place is, even their paperbags from supermarkets hahaha

A BMW Showroom in the middle of nowhere

Bally which is 4 stories HIGH!!

A Cinema Showing PORN!!!!!!!!

And best thing of all, I made a new friend on the plane!!! I realise I could be sociable too :))))
And heard the best quote ever:
Old Man: Swiss Air stewardess are sweet but the plane is SHIT!..
The old man literally screamed across the cabin
{ Here comes the potato }
TO Joyceeeeee 10:53 PM • Wednesday, March 24, 2010
Oi Here is the recipe that u bloody keep bugging me ABOUT!!! show it to ur father.. I am sure he will make one hell of a good pancake
Potato Pancake..
Fell in love with this simple dish when me, my sister and cousins went to this korean eatery at Novena
So went google about it and here comes my improved recipe!!!!
First and foremost, u need duh, potatoes

Grate the potatoes using a second smallest grater.. U will get what I mean when u buy those four-faced grater

Soak the grated potatoes into water, if u dun, u have to grate very quickly as the potatoes turned brown really easily
After than, drain all excess water.. I used a clean cloth in this case cos it will remove all the water efficiently!!

Mixed the grated potatoes with small amount of salt, sesame oil and corn starch

Add a bit of water, not too much to make it a slightly dry paste so that the potatoes will "stick" together when u fry it
Making the paste into small coin shape and pan fry it, make sure its not too thick, if not the potatoes will not be cooked

Fry till brown on both sides, takes about 5 mins on high heat
VIOLA!! Yumm-ilcious Potato PANCAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Arent I a genius cook?!?!
{ I hate it!! }
How I wish I am someone who is emotionless, so that I probably wont go through the turmoil I am going through now.. 11:35 PM • Sunday, March 21, 2010
I want to be emotionless, so that whatever is happening to me, and or around me wont affect me..
I hate to see the same old people, talking about the same old things, cos it makes me angry.
I hate to see people denying the fact when its actually right there in front of their fucking eyes...
I hate it when I try to be carefree and happy but I tend to worry to much for too long..
I hate it when someone says something and the thought just kept ringing on my fucking head and left me with insomnia!!!
I hate to feel disappointed cos I hate disappointing people..
But yet again, I left all these unthought emotions run like a turmoil in my fucking head...
And the best thing of all, I dun even know why I feel that way!!!!!
OMFG, humans are shit!
{ Food Glorious Food }
Well everyone knows how much I love my food, so I decided to upload some food that I've prepared over the past couple of months.. 9:28 PM • Monday, March 15, 2010
So here are some
떡볶이

This was what I found in Chinatown but unfortunately the paste contained beef, so I cant use. What I put into the rice cake is the korean hot paste, some beans spout and the rice cakes, plus some noodles to it as well..

Its really easy to prepare..
Up next is some western food.

This is Parma Ham wrapped in honeydew. Its suppose to be rock melon but I couldnt find any so bought a honeydew instead. Parma ham is a really expensive type of ham from Italy and it was on sale, so I bought it hehe. The saltiness of the ham plus the sweetness of the melon gives it a perfect combination for a starter.. Its really yummy and all you need to do is wrap the melon with the ham and let it sit in the fridge for an half an hour to allow the taste to bland in nicely..
With the Parma Ham, what I did was a salad dish as well. Packets of mixed vegetables for salad can be bought in local supermarket, so what I do is mixed some sesame oil, pepper, soya sauce and a quarter of lime juice into a big mixing bowl. Toss the salad around and then place the ham ontop. DO NOT ADD too much soya sauce as the ham is very salty, sure u guys dun want to have sodium overload.

Ok I will blog my potato pancake up next probably in a week or 2's time...
{ Bday and Old Trafford plus random }
So a coincidence happened. A flight stewardess friend of mine was in town just nice on my BDAY!!!! 12:12 AM • Sunday, March 14, 2010
So we had things planned and these are sneak peaks of the crazy 3 days we had.
March 10th Day 1
Strawberry Chocolate princess wanted to buy a bag from LV, so we went with a colleague of hers, the bag she bought was a speedy, but it was new and VERY NICE!! Not the common speedy we see everyday everywhere..
So then walk and walk in town then went back to the hotel, rushed down to the Italian place known as San Carlo for dinner, with champagne and proper italian food (and thanks to Ms V, that was my bday present)

The 3 Musketteersss

March 11th Day 2
We went to Old Trafford and Trafford Centre. Took the tour in Old Trafford which was pretty worth it, cos not only u get to see the Stadium but the players dressing room and lounge and such
So walk and walk and Trafford Centre being the HUGE shopping mall, nearly killed my poor legs hahaha but it was all worth it
Old Trafford

Red Cafe

Numerous Trophies won

Stadium

Me and Shu Zhen

Ok something I needed to add, I had lots of videos and one video was on the Munich Air crash that killed a number if players in the 60s. There was one picture taken before the air crash, and the men who were sat on the right of the pictures all died in the crash, it was a bit eerie. I will upload the video on FB soon.
Such an insiprational quote

Trafford Centre

Little Snow White in Disney Store

March 12th Day 3
We just going to go to Oldham Street and that was it... Oldham Street is pretty much a hidden treasure even myself who had been in Manchester for 6 months didnt know the place existed. Special shops are everywhere, and the place is really unique..
Oldham Street

Ok shall let pictures do the talking
The oppa who seem to be clueless about KEYBOARDS

Some stuff I bought from Megastore

{ korean entertainment industry getting more interesting }
Well everyone heard about 2Pm saga, Jay leaving and shit like that.. 10:30 PM • Thursday, March 04, 2010
It really interest me, how the rest of 2Pm members except Khun acted so nochalantly on TV while behind the screen stabbing poor Jay like mad..
I hate to say this but I actually believed that Jay was probably "forced" to leave and Khun is probably next. How I wish Hottests could just burn down JYPE and thats the end of it.
Poor Jay
Anyways, its been a hell of a week in Korean with SM being investigated for unlawful contracts (finally after god knows how many year), Jay permanently leaving 2Pm, SM and Mnet dispute and most interestingly, a new boyband, D.NA calling themselves TVXQ number 2.
For fuck sake, no one is going to be TVXQ 2nd and best thing of all they were former members of a really shit band ( Sorry Chu I know Kibum was in there too, but they were really not that good :x)
Anyways, the korean music industry is just getting more dramatic than their dramas apparently.
Gonna sit back and watch a good show down now
{ The weekend }
Crazy one word to describe my saturday night and sunday night 11:19 PM • Monday, March 01, 2010
Saturday night was out with friends for Sarah and Vivian's bday and sort of to say goodbye to Mads and Sarah who will be going to HK in a few days time for 3 months

It wasnt a crazy night out so it was ok

Sunday night was off to Canadian Sarah to watch Man U win and Canada wining the ice hockey gold as well haha..
Oh I read about fans blogging about Jay from 2PM. It was so upsetting and yet not being a fan I felt like they just tinted every other members of 2PM besides Jay and Khun..
