{ Germany }
Ok I am alive… I thought I was so going to die.. seriously if the plane wasn’t like a rollercoaster ride for half of the 12 hours journey, I wouldn’t have thought so. But anyways, I am alive and kicking just dying with severe fatigue, that’s all nothing serious 8:44 PM • Saturday, September 27, 2008
Germany is quite a beautiful country as a whole. I thought I won’t survive there since they speak German, but surprise, most Germans can speak English, well at least a bit of English. But shops are closed on sundays... so bloody sad okay..
No shops in Frankfurt on Sunday, so I walked around the River
While walking towards the River.. Street is dead quiet

A Mixed of Modern with History

Wonder how much these apartments cost. They are situated right in front of the River

TEDDIES!! But it wasnt open

City of Frankfurt

Signs to the Train Station

Train Tunnel

Nutcracker

My 10 days there was well spent, first 7 days in Cologne and the next 3 in Frankfurt. In cologne, there was nothing much since the place that we were place in was very far from the city center and everyday training starts at 8.30 and ends at 6. Its worst than schooling but nevertheless, I enjoyed myself there
My colleagues and Trainers

The Germans are great host. They even had someone to cook for us for lunch and dinner they brought us out, fully paid for. But then the amount of food they serve you is huge. People like me eat a lot, I mean a lot for a girl. But can u imagine, when I was there, there was no 1 meal I could finish their food. I swear the germans sure do eat a lot and its scary their portion of food. Salad never looked so scary in my life. Every single item is double what you get for that kind of money in SG. Food is damn cheap actually.
My plate of salad

My unfinished plate of salad.. so sad cos it was delicious

Pork Knuckles!!!

My 3 days in Frankfurt was not so bad. I arrived on Friday night. NOTE: please do not carry a luggage more than you can carry on board the train. Reason: You have to put them in the overhead compartment. See that’s something ppl didn’t tell me, so what happened was I have to carry 18kg worth of stuff over my head. Hey I am a little girl how can I do that. Well thank god to great Samaritans over there. There was this guy who was nice enough to help me take them up and down, can’t be more thankful than that.
In Cologne, the hotel I stayed in was really nice, like a home kinda feeling but in Frankfurt, for the same amount of money, it felt like hell. The room was so small and the toilet, imagine a girl like me needed to squeeze myself while sitting on the toilet bowl, imagine ppl who are double my size. How can they come out with such crappy design when the germans are so huge!
Room in Cologne

Room in Frankfurt (SPOT THE DIFFERENCE)

Entrance

Tada!! A lift to the hotel
Thats the entrance

Hotel I stayed in Frankfurt

The biggest difference, I can capture my whole room in one shot in Frankfurt, where I need at least 2 for my room in Cologne haha
Forget about the hotel, Cologne was more like a very quiet kinda place, while Frankfurt was the total opposite. I was living near the Orchard Road of Frankfurt, well, just beside it, buzzing activities, lots of shop and even still branded boutiques, well imagine a brand whore like me, of cos I went nuts!!
LV!! Right in front of Cologne Train Station

My sister will seriously love me for this.

I got myself a LV belt and a wallet for a friend of mine who asked me to get it for her. Its goddamn cheap!!! SG, the belt cost about 500 bucks, I paid slightly more than 400 bucks for it, well excluding tax of cos.
Talking about tax. The Frankfurt airport is Changi Airport T1 to T3 combine and much bigger!!!!! I had to literally walked 30 minutes just to get my tax refunded, and then another 30 minutes to walk to my departure gate damn shitty! I was so tired that when I got onto the plane I slept! Wow that’s a first for me.
LOOK!! The route towards my gate, and I cant even see where is the gate.. It took me about 30mins to walk from the Tax Refund office back to the departure gate, that was how big the stupid terminal was

Ok pictures speaks louder than words and I cant seem to get myself into any pictures since I was travelling alone. It was a good experience and I really like being alone on trips although it can be quite danagerous
Oh yea the toilet, lets just say u need to pay €1.10 to go in haha
My photos in Germany!! ENJOY!!!
