Ok lets start with the airport… 8:30 PM • Wednesday, August 06, 2008
Who says Terminal 3 is fantastic, seriously, besides the shops in there, the facilities to make people awe over, what the heck, I see none ok..
The shops are ok, pretty but okay, the seats worthy for its hefty price tag, nope. The worst thing of all, how can they put those boarding gates together with only 3 rows of security checks?!?! I mean seriously, why must they do that, cant they put each boarding gate to have their own security checkpoints like what they did to T1 and T2. Later than I found out it was only boarding gates A1 to A5 sharing the checkpoints, what the heck, but whatever it is, it was a waste of time. I queued for about 20 minutes before getting scanned and inside the boarding area, chaotic. Too many people too many gates. Hello A380 itself carries almost 500 people so why only 3rows???

A380 was a blast (shouldn’t say blast in case the airplane really blast), it was so silent throughout the entire flight, I thought the engine was not moving.. haha silly me I know, but it was all good but again, I couldn’t sleep, I dunno why.
Once I reached Sydney, wa lau eh, it took me nearly 1 hour before my I see my luggage, so slowww. The taxis I was in lost his way had to have Karen on the line to navigate where we need to go so wasted a lot of time there.
Went to her apartment first thing I asked was for her bed haha, I need sleep before Zi Wei arrives, so I did.
First stop, the city centre. It was probably 3 times the size of Orchard Road and I am not kidding. There were so many buildings and shopping centres. We went to this very antique looking building known as the Queen Victoria Building. It was stunning inside and outside. The building was probably built in late 1800s or early 1900s, not sure when but everything inside the building was very well maintained. Beautiful I must say.

Wahah Karen's Candid shot!!!

And Yinz, just for you, 4 levels of Supre haha, we went there but I bought nothing, you happy.. Actually it was nothing much la just very messy piles of clothes everywhere.

Oh Yeah and FREE HUGS!!

Then we went to Skytower, it was like Seoul Tower, giving you bird’s eye view to the entire Sydney. Karen was like a Geography teacher, she knows exactly where was what when we were at the Tower.
Can you see the Harbour Bridge????

We did a lot of shopping and guess what, in one of the shops that I was in I saw someone so familiar sitting somewhere waiting for her BF, Eileen my Secondary School friend. Why in the world I meet friend in Sydney and that was not even surprising cos Eileen happens to know Karen as well, I was like, why are the 2 of you hugging each other when she is my sec sch friend and you were my poly friend (Karen). Ironically, their mum knew each other and they knew each other since young. What a coincidence!!
Then we had dinner with Nora. I love that girl, she is soo cute and funny!!!
So that was day 1.
