{ What a Day }
Today I went for an interview ..Was glad as it went really well and was called for a second interview. The company is a MNC by the way. 5:59 PM • Thursday, August 03, 2006
But I rejected it, cos they want me to buy a car within 6 months. Even when they are willing to pay me 1200 per month as transport allowance, I just couldn’t see myself buying a car in 6 months. Besides I dun really have the money. So I was honest and told the HR manager that I was interested but not able to commit myself in buying a car so soon, so might as well I give up the opportunity to someone else who can buy a car and at the same time do a good job or even better than me… She appreciated me for being really honest, and I was glad that I am.
I mean the pay is fantastic, allowances as well and the commission was good, but if they didn’t require me to buy a car, I will join the company no doubts at all.
I dun mind buying a car, but I had lots of what ifs. What if I quit in 3 years time, what is going to happen to my car? How am I able to pay the car’s first instalment?
I like the job scope, seriously. And I know I can do it, but the problem lies with the car. Haiz, if their grace period is one year, I will consider but 6 months, too fast and I am not able to finance it.
Then the girl from the recruitment agency called me and asked why I rejected it, so I was finding all sorts of excuses, but she kind of like forcing me to take up the offer even when I didn’t want to. I was quite stress at that time cos I didn’t know what to do. But by the end of the day, I thought to myself, since I rejected it, I shouldn’t regret the decision, I can go into sales anytime in the future when I am able to buy and own a car, but not now…
So peeps, I learnt my lesson, last resort when you really cannot find a job, go to an agency, if not slowly take your time. Cos sometimes the agency people, bcos they want money duh, will find all sorts of reasons for you not to reject an offer.
Besides, MNC = good pay BUT lots of politics, headache
I don’t think I am mature enough to handle any of the BUTs yet. As for the good pay wahah who doesn’t wants it.
