{ Unforgettable bus ride }
Now who can ever imagine a bus ride can be so, well, interesting. 10:27 PM • Friday, May 13, 2005
I was on my way home yesterday after a tired day of work, but my mood was sudddenly perk up by this guy who was sitting behind me, talking to his girlfriend.
Ok initially, I thought this guy must be someone, who is trying to act extremely well-read but with very limited vocabulary (he kept using the word freaking). But then interestingly, the more I hear (eavesdrop will be a better word) what he was talking about, the more interesting it got.
He, I think is some historian living in the 1800s. The entire journey, he was talking about liberalisation, comparing colonial ruling by the British, Portugese and Dutch. Then he went on explaining why the Dutch pronouce J as Y.
So, I thought it will be agonising to be his girlfriend listening to all that crap. Surprisingly, the girlfriend is one of her kind too. She must be another historian that contributes to the Heritage Museum.
I swear it was so funny that if I'm with someone else that that time, I would have laughed like crazy. Imagine, 2 young adults talking about history that was happened so long ago. Aren't we taught to look forward in life? Well, obviously, they are living life backwards.
